New Years Resolutions you’ll actually want to keep!

New Years Resolutions you’ll actually want to keep!

Happy New Year to our gorgeous haircarebear fam! Let me ask you a question.. how many times have you made new years resolutions without the intention of actually sticking to them?! Guilty right? Take a look below at some of new years resolutions that we actually want to keep!

    • Let’s be realistic here, we’re not going to go crazy and read a new book every week! But aim to read 6-10 books this year.
  • Pursue a hobby or interest
    • How many times have you told yourself, I really want to learn a language or I really want to take up yoga or dance lessons.. well time to put this into action! Research what activities are around your area, usually there’s always a free intro class. As far as learning a language, we recommend the app ‘Duolingo’
  • Eat more fruit and vegies!
    • Easy said then done right? Well not necessarily! You can easily incorporate these vitamin packed goodies into your diet simply by adding more colourful vegies into salads, sandwiches, soups and more and fruit into smoothies, cereal, yoghurt and more!
  • Move your body everyday
    • The experts say to aim for 10,000 steps a day, if this seems farfetched for you, don’t stress because it’s not as hard as you think! Adding more steps can be as easy is, pacing around the room when on the phone, opting for the stairs when possible, using lunch breaks for walks and more!
  • Get more quality sleep
    • Something we can all benefit from right! Aim for 8 hours a night, this means switching off all smartphones, tablets and TVs in the bedroom, this is where you can read your book! (refer to resolution number 1!) books are excellent in helping you unwind.
  • Declutter
    • Make this the year of declutter! Shoes & clothes are an excellent one to start with, sort through everything you haven’t worn in the last 6 months and donate to charity. A tidy and organised space is so much nicer to come home to.
