Friday 13th
Just as walking under a ladder, breaking a mirror or a black cat walking in front of you, Friday 13th is considered to be an unlucky day in western cultures, with scary movies named after the day. At Jesus’s last supper, there were 13 people seated around the table, 12 apostles and Jesus himself. The next day, Jesus was crucified on a Friday. It is a long-standing superstition within the Christian community that having 13 guests at the table was the bad omen. As Jesus was crucified on a Friday and that too is the day that Eve gave Adam the apple from the tree of knowledge, Friday has many negative associations. While there is not a definite reason why people are so superstitious, it is a fear all around the world.
